WHEN. On the June long weekend from Saturday 6th to
Monday 8th June 2015.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS.

CamperTrailers forum under the Upcoming Events heading or in the
Australian
CamperTrailers Facebook Group by typing Atkinson's Dam in the 'search this
group' window.
PLEASE NOTE.
If you plan to arrive on Friday morning please make a note
on the ice breaker email so arrangements can be made for your early arrival.
CAMPING FEES. $10 a adult & $5 a school age child
per day.
DAY FEES. $5
for day visitors.
NAME TAGS.
If you have a name tag please bring it along.
BRING WARM CLOTHES
- it will be cold at night and if the wind blows.
POWER.
There are no powered sites.
CAMPFIRES are allowed.
FIREWOOD. Please bring some firewood along.
AMENITIES. There are toilets and showers - basic
but adequate like most scout facilities
DOGS are welcome & must be on a lead at all
times, droppings collected. WARNING: This is adjacent to a working cattle
property. The farmer does NOT tolerate dogs annoying his livestock - he has been
known to shoot stray pet dogs.
RUBBISH. Please take your rubbish with you.
ACTIVITIES.
If you have canoes/kayaks you will easily be able to drag them into
the water, you can swim, and we are about 15 minutes from Gatton and Lowood
(different directions) for the paper or pub or local farmer's produce.
Welcome morning tea
around 10.30am on Saturday.
Come sit &
relax with a bunch of like minded people. Check the modifications others have done to
their camper trailers to make camping life all that more enjoyable. You might
meet as complete strangers on the Friday evening, but will part old friends such
is the camaraderie.
You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper are more
than welcome to come along & get a first hand unbiased opinion of a particular
camper trailer from their owners. Come along & meet the faces behind the typing.
You are also very welcome to drop in for the day.
Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility
for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together.
If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any
side trips or outings during the weekend meet.
