YOUR HOSTS for the weekend will be Bill & Jen Parker.

WHERE. Clancy’s Creek Camping Area in the Benarkin State Forest approx 150kms North West of Brisbane.

WHEN. The weekend of Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th February 2012.

GETTING THERE. To access the Benarkin State Forrest, the turnoff to the park is situated west of Moore and 3.5 km's east of Blackbutt on the D'Aguilar Highway. From the turnoff on the highway a scenic gravel road leads a further 16 km down the range to the camping and day-use areas.

CAMPING. We will be bush camping in a large open grassed area with minimum facilities beside Emu Creek.

THE ROAD. The steep and winding unsealed road is accessible by conventional vehicles with care in all weather conditions, however caution is required, especially after rain. Beware of logging trucks.

MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. Camping permits for all campsites must be booked in advance with DERM.

COST. Camping fees are $5.30 per adult per night(18 and over), $5.30 per child per night(5 to 17 years) & under 5 years free. A $21.30 family concession of two adults and accompanying children under 18, up to a total of eight people per night is available. 

WATER. Please bring your own drinking water.

GENERATORS. Generators are not allowed in the camping area.

FIREWOOD. Please bring some firewood along for the communal evening fire - fires only to be lit in the fireplaces provided.

TOILETS. Flushing toilets.

SHOWERS.  There are no showering facilities - please bring your own bush shower.

RUBBISH. No rubbish bins are provided - please take your rubbish with you.

DOGS. Dogs are permitted, under control and restrained by a leash at all times at Clancy’s camping area. Dogs are prohibited in all other areas.

You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper are more than welcome to attend & get a first hand unbiased opinion of a particular camper trailer from their owners. Come along & meet the faces behind the typing.

Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together.

If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any side trips or outings during the weekend meet.
