Thanks all for the replies. The shocks are Monroe Blues which were a fairly common shock but not overly heavy. They lean towards the back of the trailer. Yes , being the inquisitive type I have already pulled one side out , with the bolts showing no wear but both the steel inner and the outer nylon bush are both worn. Not excessively but sufficient I feel to replace before we head to the Tanami and beyond later in the year. I may have to get a small machinery shop to turn up some fore me. The nylon outer will be the problem. I have considered using a full brass bush but will wait a week or two before deciding.

Yes that was my next suggestion if the bushes were worn to get a machine shop to turn you up a new set if you cannot source them & in brass is a good idea too.

I just did a Goggle of 'trailer suspension bushes' which brought up some interesting pages of online cattledogs with photos & dimensions.
