Suitable bucket seats for 79 series workmate landcruiser
Hi everyone.just trying to find a suitable set of bucket seats for a 79 workmate ute.even just a passenger one.some have said the GXL has bucket seats that bolt straight in. STRATOS is a brand that some have used in utes but I cant find any info on where to find the mounting tracks to suit the cruiser.any help would be great thanks.

ARB stock Recaro with the mounts to suit pretty well all vehicles.
Might be worth a try.
Cheers

I read that the seats out of a late model falcon fit with minimal modification (4wd action I think)JodznSteve wrote:Hi everyone.just trying to find a suitable set of bucket seats for a 79 workmate ute.even just a passenger one.some have said the GXL has bucket seats that bolt straight in. I have an old troopie. Looked at the price of Recaro's and ARB. ouch.
As a halfway house bought a couple of front seats out of a Mitsubishi Magna. Fully adjustable.
Made a subframe and bolted it straight into the original holes. Has been in 6yrs no probs.
The high country in Vic is my backyard and plenty of trips to the desert.
Time limits so far has prevented me from longer trips, six weeks has been the maximum to date.
