Powered camper van roof lifter

Post by arnita35 » Thu Feb 12, 2015 9:46 pm

We have a 2012 Jayco Eagle Outback, we are wondering if anyone has an easier way to lift the roof besides the crank handle effect. There is a bit of weight there with an air con unit. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Could you use a battery operated drill with an appropriate socket to operate the crank instead of muscle power? Or, our North Coast Camper has an electric lift for the poptop using this sort of gizmo - http://tinyurl.com/mfwb89l - although it doesn't need to lift as far as your jayco.

Battery drills are great, I use mine to wind down the legs under my tailer
