There is a Metho heater available from Dometic called Origo (Heatpal) 5100.
It is rated at 1.5kw for 5 hours on 1.2 lt of methylated spirits.
Cost just under $300 delivered and is quite large at almost 300x300. It has an aluminium body.
I am only expecting (hoping) to get maybe 10 degree rise, ie go from 4 to 14 degree, but much better than nothing.
I understand they do not emit CO? And only emit CO2 as much as a normal adult would?
$2k or $3k for a flue gas heater is not warranted for the number of times we need it.
Can anyone comment?

Re: Alcohol heaters
Interesting M&M.
My understanding is that carbon monoxide is emitted whenever you burn a fuel.
Here's a review of the unit in case you haven't seen it:

1500w isn't much so it would depend on how big your tent section is and what the rate of heat loss would be - substantial?
