Tyre Pressure

Post by Guzzi Matt » Tue Sep 08, 2015 6:48 pm

Hi all,

Question on the Yahoo site today about tyre pressure and the advantages or necessities of lowering the tyre pressure for the vehicle in certain road conditions - be the black top, dirt, mud or beach.

Some time ago I found a document on the GPSOZ website (thanks Brian) and he had a link to a PDF created by ARB I think, titled THE LOWDOWN OFFROAD TYRE PRESSURES. It gives a good explanation and photographs/drawings of the tyre pressure vs the actual footprint and how the 'length' of the tread is extended at lower pressures.

You will find the link to the information here - http://www2.gpsoz.com.au/downloads/arb_ ... ssures.pdf.
happy camping
