How to protect the camper draw bar items ??

Post by mcake » Tue Nov 03, 2015 3:33 pm

Hi All,

I want to protect all the gear I have on the camper trailer draw bar as the camper
is in storage but is kept outside, I have a good protective tarp over it, but the draw
bar items are all exposed to the elements, these items include battery box, gas
cradles, winch, and jockey wheel. I tried plastic bags and something similar from
Bunnings but they just degrade after a while and break apart.

I found a quality silver tarp over the trailer with a breathable car cover protected the camper trailer well when we had it stored outside. The tarp stopped rain & the sun getting to the pvc travel cover while the breathable car cover allowed any condensation to escape.

I think it was a medium sized cover that was fixed at the back with the adjustable strap & I just wrapped the front around the hitch & secured it with the strap.
