Hi all,

As 2017 draws to a close we look back over the camping year at the trips & camps we have had. What was your favourite camper trailer trip or weekend this year???

G'day Rob

All of them! We just love it when the Tvan is hooked up and we're on the road to anywhere.

G'day, seven days at Coffin Bay in May, great weather, plenty of wildlife and magnificent scenery in the Coffin Bay National Park and a load of great 4wd tracks
Looking forward to going back :) :) :D

Hi all,

When we set out from home we usually have a final destination in mind, but anything can happen along the way, like those who have wandered with us know. We like to stay off the highways if possible by using mostly country secondary roads, dirt roads or 4wd tracks & bush camping on private property, reserves, state forests, national parks or showgrounds. There is no set itinerary as we like the freedom when getting into a campsite & if we like it, we can then stay a few days.

During our two month trip from Newcastle to Bowen & back in May & June, which is a 4000km round trip we covered 6500km zigzagging & finally had the opportunity to explore Kroombit Tops west of Gladstone. This had been on our bucket list for around twenty years http://www.robcaz.net/kroombit_tops.htm

Have to agree with Obeeone's comment above - all of them!

Just came back from our usual end of year break in Kangaroo Valley (where we camp nearly every month for a couple of nights, but after Christmas it was 8 nights so always special; many thanks again to Glenmack CP as always, and Friendly Inn for their fantastic New Year Fireworks ;) ).

Best trip though was to Nundle (up near Tamworth) earlier this year, with THE GREAT NUNDLE DOG RACE (fantastic day + a great fund raiser for Nundle Primary + hilarious!) and all of Tamworth region to check out.
