Caravan Council of Australia new docs

Hi all,

The caravan and camper trailer documents on the Caravan Council of Australia website http://www.caravancouncil.com.au have recently been updated including a pre-delivery check list.

There seems to be confusion about the term Tare. Tare is the mass of the camper trailer without any consumables like water & gas etc, when it leaves the manufacturer or supplier with all extras that were specified on the sales contract.

It is that empty mass which determines the legal load carrying capacity. An easy to understand ratings & masses document can be found under the compliance heading.
