WHEN. From Monday 25th to Friday 29th September 2017
WHERE.
Peak Hill Showground,
Mingelo/Coradgery Street, Peak Hill NSW.
GETTING THERE. Peak Hill is located on the NSW Central Western
Slopes & Plains along the Newell Highway between Dubbo & Parkes.
DISTANCES. Peak Hill is 442km from Sydney, 947km from
Brisbane, 744km from Melbourne & 1143km from Adelaide.
ENTERING THE SHOWGROUND. The Peak Hill Showground 1.5 kilometres west of
town. Turn off the highway at the Post Office into Mingelo Street
& across the rail line.
TIMES.
Gates to the Peak Hill Showground will be open from 10am
on Friday 22nd September. While the showgrounds are open to public
camping it would be helpful if members could arrange their arrival
for Friday while the grounds are being prepared ready for the week
ahead.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. If
you would like to attend please register via the
online attendance form.
You will receive an email to your nominated email address to confirm
your registration.
COST.
The cost is per camper trailer regardless of the number of
people. If you stay for seven nights you only pay for six.
Powered Sites. $20 per
night
Unpowered Sites. $15 per night
POWERED
SITES.
There are a number of 15amp power outlets available. Power for medical reasons will be first taken
into account. Please tick the
appropriate box in the online attendance form.
POWER LEADS. Please ensure your 15amp power lead
is presented in a safe usable condition & is of one continuous length from the outlet to the camper trailer
or caravan. No illegal made up 15amp to 10amp
adaptors are to be used.
CONTACT ON ARRIVAL.
On arrival into the showground please give Rob, Kevin or
Jason
a call (calling campertrailers) on UHF channel 18.
PAYMENT.
Camping fees are payable to Rob & Carol on arrival. The correct money
in cash would be
helpful. You will then be directed to a suitable campsite.
ADMIN FEE.
There will be an admin fee of
$10 to cover the cost of the 'showbag' which contains a
commemorative national meet sticker & the printing of lanyard
style name tags holders,
laminated camper ID sheets, itinerary & attendance sheets etc.
FIREWOOD.
Please bring some firewood along. Firewood will be supplied for the week. Don't forget your block splitter.
FIRES only in
the bins provided.
WATER. Town
drinking water is available from all taps.
SHOWER. Hot showers are available
in the two amenities blocks. You are more than welcome to use your own
bush shower.
TOILETS.
There are flushing toilets in the two amenities blocks.
WHEELCHAIR
AMENITIES ACCESS.
There is wheelchair access for shower & toilet.
DUMP POINT.
Their is a dump point in Linder Street.
LAUNDRY.
Washing machine & dryer facilities are available
from the Peak Hill Caravan Park & Double D Caravan Park.
DOGS must be kept on a leash at all times & droppings collected.
RUBBISH
Bins are provided.
PHONES. There
is Telstra NextG & Optus Yes G & Vodafone coverage.
GLASS. The showground has a strict policy of NO GLASS.
Please be responsible using glass containers.
DOGS are welcome. They must be on a leash at all
times and droppings are collected.
SHOPPING.
There is an IGA supermarket, butcher & chemist in town as well as
cafe's, eateries & a restaurant in the RSL.
BANKING.
Commonwealth Bank at the Post Office and Westpac down the road at
Westfarmers. The only ATM can be found at the RSL Club.
FUEL. There
is unleaded & diesel, however Autogas is not available in Peak Hill.

With Peak Hill central to Dubbo & Parkes, it gives a great
opportunity to explore NSW Central Western Slopes & Plains.
