at Mendooran NSW

Members & their friends are invited to attend the group's 18th national meet

please fill in the attendance form found under the making arrangements heading

 

WHEN. From Monday 30th September to Friday 4th October 2024.

WHERE. Mendooran Showground, Mendooran, NSW.

GETTING THERE. Mendooran is located in Central West Slopes & Plains of New South Wales on the Castlereagh River 75km north-east of Dubbo.   

DISTANCES. Mendooran is 460km from Sydney, 770km from Brisbane, 900km from Melbourne & 1240km from Adelaide. 

MENDOORAN SHOWGROUND. The entrance to the showground is located in Dalglish Street. From the Castlereagh Highway which is named Bandulla Street in town, turn north into Dalglish Street & drive through the cross street intersection with Cobra Street. The showground is found on the right.

ARRIVAL TIME. The Mendooran Showground will be open to accept members from 10am on Friday 27th September 2024.

EARLY ARRIVAL. If you arrive early there is a free camp at the Mendooran Rest Area located off River Street.

LEAVING TIME. You can stay as long as you like after the closing on the Friday. Camping fees from Saturday onwards are to be paid to the caretaker.

MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. If you would like to attend please register via the CamperTrailers national meet attendance form  You will receive an email to your nominated email address confirming your registration.

COST. The cost is per camper trailer regardless the number of people. If you stay for seven nights you only pay for six.

 

 

Unpowered Sites. $15 per night

 

Powered Sites. $20 per night

POWERED SITES. There are a number of 15amp powered sites available. Power for medical reasons will be first taken into account, the rest will be on a first in basis. Please tick the appropriate box in the online attendance form.

POWER LEADS. Please bring your long 15amp leads & ensure your power lead is presented in a safe usable condition. All leads are only to be used in one continuous length from the outlet to the camper trailer or caravan.

GENERATORS. Only to be used in extreme circumstances & only by permission.

CONTACT ON ARRIVAL. On arrival into the showground please give Rob, Kevin or Jason a call (calling campertrailers) on channel UHF18.

PAYMENT. Camping fees are payable to Rob & Carol on arrival. The correct money in cash would be helpful. You will then be directed to a suitable campsite.

ADMIN FEE. There will be an admin fee of $10 to cover the cost of the 'showbag' which contains a commemorative national meet sticker & the printing of lanyard name tags, laminated camper ID sheets, itinerary & attendance sheets etc.

FIREWOOD. Firewood will be supplied for the week. Don't forget your block splitter.

FIRES only to be lit in your own fire container, Ozpig etc.

WATER. Town drinking water is available.

SHOWER. Hot showers are available in the amenities block. You are more than welcome to use your own bush shower.

TOILETS. There are flushing toilets. 

WHEELCHAIR AMENITIES. There is a new amenities under construction with wheelchair access to a disabled shower & toilet.

DUMP POINT. There is a free dump point in the Mendooran Rest Area located off River Street https://toiletmap.gov.au/57594

DOGS must be kept on a leash at all times & droppings collected.

RUBBISH. There are bins placed around the showground.

Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility for members & non-members actions during the get together. If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any side trips or outings during the meet.
