WHEN. on the June long weekend of Saturday/Sunday/Monday 7th/8th/9th of June. CAMPING. This is a national park run large bush camping area, room for plenty of people. Plenty of shade if needed, single pit toilet, plenty of fire pits, running creek, but bring own drinking water etc. SPECIAL NEEDS FOR THE WEEKEND. Please take note there are special needs attending this weekend as it is in the Blue Mountains National Park. 1. The road in is definately
4wd only after recent rains. The group in camp will monitor UHF18 while
members are expected to be arriving. GETTING THERE. Burralow Swamp is off The Bells Line of Road at Kurrajong Heights. When you reach Kurrajong Heights, not far past the red light camera, turn LEFT into Warks Hill Rd and after a short distance LEFT again into Burralow Rd. This turns to dirt. After the steep descent, arrive at T junction, turn RIGHT and follow to the end where the camping area is. THE ROAD. Once you leave Kurrajong Heights, Burralow Rd turns into dirt. The last section is definitely 4wd only after recent rains. 2wd is not recommended and members do so at your own risk. The group in camp will monitor UHF18 while members are expected to be arriving. MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. Please post your intent to attend via the poll. POWERED SITES. None. WATER. Please bring your own drinking water. CAMPFIRES Only one central fire allowed. FIREWOOD. No firewood is allowed to be collected in the reserve. Please bring some firewood with you. If everyone brings wood we will have plenty for the chilly June nights. COOKING. Campoven cooking requires plenty of coals, so may I suggest the use of heatbeads as a heat source for cooking. This will prolong the limited wood resource for keeping warm. TOILETS. One longdrop only. If you have a portable toilet please bring it along for your convenience. SHOWERS. No showers. If you have a portable shower please bring it along for your convenience. FACILITIES. Large steel fire rings with hotplate. DOGS. Not allowed in national park. RUBBISH. No bins. Please take your rubbish with you. INFORMATION.
