Black Cockatoo Bush Camp

Members & their friends are invited to attend the next groups Vic/SA get together at Black Cockatoo Bush camp

YOUR HOST for the long weekend will be Dave & Rosie.

WHERE. Black Cockatoo Bush Camp S 36° 51.812 E 140° 49.472 is in the South East of South Australia at Albert Park, 14km NE of Naracoorte via Cadgee and Chapples Roads. Elizabeth at Black Cockatoo Bush Camp can be contacted by phoning 08 8762 1612 

WHEN. From Saturday 4th to Monday 6th October. Monday the 6th  is Labour Day in SA.

CAMPSITES. We will be camping an a large open area beside a water hole surrounded by shady gum trees.

MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. Please add your name to poll provided.

COST. $5 per person per night

POWER. There are no powered sites. Power is via a generator at a cost...generators can be hired if needed.

CAMPFIRES. Campfires are allowed in the fireplaces provided.

FIREWOOD. Please bring some firewood along.

WATER. Water in camping area suitable for drinking.

TOILETS. There is flushing toilets available.

SHOWERS. There are solar heated showers available.

DOGS. Dogs allowed but must be on a leash at all times.

RUBBISH. There are no rubbish bins. Please take all rubbish with you.

THINGS TO DO.

Suggestions for the weekend.

Use the campground as a base to explore the wineries of Padthaway and Coonawarra and the scenic Limestone Coast.
Naracoorte Caves are only 15 min drive.
Experience bush walking, bird watching and enjoy the flora and fauna in 120ha of virgin scrub.
There is a 1-2hour easy walking trail along a marked 3km loop walk.

Any other ideas to make the weekend a memorable one welcome.

DAY VISITORS: Please feel free to come along on a day visit & meet the faces behind the typing.

You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper are more than welcome to come along & get a firsthand unbiased opinion of a particular camper trailer from their owners.

Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together.

If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any side trips or outings during the weekend meet.
