cataract scout park
Saturday 21st to Sunday 22nd June, 2013
A total of 19 camper trailers braved
a weekend of mostly wet weather on the 21st to 22nd
June at Cataract Scout Park south of Sydney hosted by Al, Mandy & Davis. Early arrivals on Friday quickly set up and
gathered by the fire. A clear night was spent under the
solstice moon. Saturday morning brought cool, but clear
weather, and the remainder of the camper trailers. The
rain arrived early Saturday afternoon, leading to a tarp
being erected over the fire. Happy hour was cosy, but
dry under the tarp.
Some members were happy to sit and
chat over the weekend, whilst others went exploring the
area. Sunday bought yet more rain, and a drop in
temperature. Sunday afternoon saw some camper trailers
pack up, leaving the rest of us to brave the rain. More
rain on Monday, with a break long enough to semi dry
some canvas to pack up at least half dry.
All in all, yet another good
weekend in spite of the weather. Good to catch up with
old friends and also meet new ones.
