      Wednesday
TAI CHI
It was a bit hot on this morning so we headed for the shade of some nearby
trees. Rob went through the warm ups, Shibashi two, another set of 18 exercises
that Tai Chi is based on & the Lotus.
UHF/HF RADIO WORKSHOP
Kevin Beckwith shared his knowledge with the group on the use of UHF &
HF radio, what sort of range they have, setting up & on air protocol. He was
assisted by Ron Dickson.
Ian Hamilton then showed what a satphone was, its cost & how to use it.

COBB WORKSHOP
Because of the Total Fire Ban that was in force, the how to cook a roast in the Cobb
workshop was postponed to the next afternoon. However, Margaret had already
baked a cake the day before, so this part of the workshop went ahead.
After repeated attempts to bake a cake without a burnt bottom in the Cobb,
Margaret has now perfected the technique with the use of another bottom to
disperse the heat. There will be a detailed article in tech tips shortly. The
demonstration was assisted by
      Julianne.

the kids will a treasure hunt, scattering lollies all over the groups 'community
area' where happy hour was organized each afternoon.

BUSH BALLARD & POETRY EVENING The highlight of the
meet was an evenings entertainment by bush band 'The Rabbit Trappers' which
consisted of Robert 'Fat' Hardy/vocals & acoustic guitar & Dudley Gooda/vocals &
piano accordion. Accompanying the band was bush poet Jimmy Brown. Jimmy recited
a number of his own poems as well as a few by fellow bush poets.
           The hat was passed round
& the CamperTrailers Group members managed to raise $320 towards the
        Westpac Rescue Helicopter
which the guys do a lot of charity work for. Well done everyone. A big
thanks also to the President of the
        Inverell Tourist Association, Les
Moulds for arranging this excellent evening.
