Great Spots in West NT

After many months searching the internet preparing for a 'trip of a lifetime', it looks as though we are spoilt for choice here in Australia. We are looking to spend plenty of time in NT, and are wondering what recommendations fellow travellers have for places to stay (preferably Caravan parks or similar - Mrs is not giving up ALL amenities) WEST of Darwin along the coast? Thanks.
I just can't wait to get on the road again ....

My Mrs. is of a similar persuasion.....Restricted to caravan parks or areas with amenities....... [happy wife, happy life]... :)
