I am concerned by a current Yamaha TV advert currently being shown in SA.
In one shot the output terminal is shown as male 3 pin? Is this right and safe as all portable gennnies I have seen output to a female socket as the live terminal. Please tell me I am seeing things!!

Hi Mike,
I have noticed that too. I thought it may have been a 240volt male plug so two generators can be joined together???

Re: Portable generator TV advertisement
Rob is correct, this is a feature of the generator
"What is the Parallel Use function?
Parallel Use means the capacity to connect two generators of the same specification and operate them together to provide quality electricity with a max. Output of roughly double that of the single unit, while retaining the same voltage and frequency."
I'm sure the male input is isolated from the output female connector.
