Advise needed

Post by Vicandtone » Sat Jan 07, 2017 3:39 pm

Hi All,
we are looking at buying an old 1975 ACT (Australian Camper Trailer) in a few weeks.

It is in really good nick for it's age, so hopefully it will be just right for us to get out and about again.

We had a similar pop up trailer many years ago (it may have been a cub or jayco, - can't remember now) but we got heaps of use and fun out of it.

I have priced the Rego & priced getting a Tow Bar fitting to the car, (as we don't have a tow bar on our car at the moment.)

But does anyone know roughly what it would cost to insure a camper like this these days?

Many thanks in advance,
cheers from Vic.

Sorry cannot help with that question, Vic.

There are so many variables .....

I would start with getting a quote from your existing car insurer.

I have all my insurance (in NSW) with AAMI and find them very easy to deal with...

PS; I would also join our FaceBook page and post the question there....

Many thanks for your reply. I have finally got a few quotes now, so I will see how we go.
And thanks for the heads up about asking for help on our facebook page, ...I never thought of doing that.
....the joys of being a newbie.
Ta heaps again, cheers from Vic & Tone.
