Hi all,

We have some great poets within the group.

During the groups national meets there are a number of fund raising activities during the week. In the months leading up to the event there are meetings with the local community to see where the money raised could be best placed to help the community where it is needed the most.

We have raised funds for various groups within the community, special need groups, museums, Country Womens Association, schools, hospitals, Lions & Apex, to name a few. Fund raising is done through an auction night with items donated by members, gold coin donation to the trivia night, a raffle, as well as members input such as knife sharpening, secondhand book shop, nail painting, etc, plus personal donations.

George Mavros & Keith Brown host a poets corner as one of the workshops during the national meets & came up with the idea of a members poetry book to sell with proceeds helping with the fund raising.

Poems submitted must be your own original work with a title & your name on it. You own the poem & its copyright.

Poems containing offensive or inappropriate language will not be accepted.


Category ideas include love, grief, war, mateship ,bush poetry, comedy, etc
