4x4 course Recomendations?

Post by Karen&Mitch » Mon Dec 14, 2015 11:11 am

Hi Guys,
Just putting it out there can anyone recommend some 4x4 driving courses or clubs in sydney/ 150 km radius. My hubby Mitch has a perjero 91 NH. A group or club would be fantastic, as we could go on a regular basic. Thanks in Advance!

Hi Karen and Mitch
I have been a member of the Nissan Patrol Club of NSW and ACT for about 5 years. Members have many types of vehicles, not just patrols. The 4wd training is excellent and is free with membership. All members of family can avail themselves of the training at no charge. The club has its own land and training area at Windellama in the Southern Highlands.
The club meets monthly at Five Dock in Sydney. It costs $100 to join and $100 per year - great value.
Club trips are run to all areas of Australia and are great fun.
Cheers
Geoff

Or the Toyota Landcruiser Club which owns NSW properties at Tarago & Wollondilly valley area. Other properties around Oz owned by other branches but are accessible.
Government accredited teaching facility with a heap of courses on offer. Any make of vehicle but must have a low range capability (true 4x4).
$275 joining fee plus around $150 yearly fee. Family membership is a whole $5 extra.
Biggest 4x4 club with some 830 paid up members in NSW, meets monthly at Chullora and welcomes visitors.

Helluva good idea to do basic training - and more beyond it. It's a better investment than mods and accessories.

Some folk spend up big on lockers, tyres and lifts, which may just get them quicker to the point of catastrophe when their skills aren't up to it.
