Hi all ... I trust everyone had a great X-Mas?
I'm building my camper trailer and I would like to build the kitchen next. Can anyone point me in the direction of:
1. Do's and Don'ts
2. Design ideas (as wide and varied as possible - I have a clean canvass to work with

)
3. The best places to get the necessary appliances and hardware
4. Any other tips and tricks
I'm open to any suggestions that have been gained through your experiences
Cheers
Luke

Hi Luke. That is a broad canvas.
You need to work out materials, ply? Stainless steel? Combination? If it slides out I'd get onto the Hafele web site for heavy duty slides.
Work out your appliance's from the CAMEC site.
Always easier if you have a 12v water pump.
Have a look at a few other trailers, see what works for you.
Cheers Barry

Thanks Barry ...
Yep ... I have a broad canvas in that I will be starting from scratch ...
I'll have a look at both those sites ... I've found it best to design around the primary items that you cant change ... so those sites will be a good start ...
If you have any other thoughts, let me know ...

Hi Luke,
You will find plenty of ideas under the kitchens heading on our campertrailers.org tech tips page
http://www.campertrailers.org/tech_tips.htm
A few ideas under the storage heading too.
Here are photos of a
full length kitchen I build for our friends Ed & Donna
& another which is a
tailgate kitchen I built for our friends Troy & Julie
I think the
Jimboomba Campers kitchen is an ripper
happy camping

The Drifta Kitchens website has a heap of tried designs
http://www.drifta.com.au/
The best place to get ideas is at a camping show where lots are on display.

Hi Luke.
How is the kitchen going?
A belated reply, I posted earlier about the drawer slides. The Hafele catalogue is not the easiest to navigate around.
These are the slides I mentioned, up to 1524 length and 180kg capacity. with lock out.

Hope that link works.
Cheers

OK, that did not work. once you have the catalogue up, go to page F.F. 10.89 Catalogue no: 422.65.898
hope that helps
