where to put the poles
I have seen lots of camp trailers in books but for the life of me I cant figure out how they carry there awning poles ...I cant see any tubes so what do you do with them

Re: where to put the poles
Hi Kermit,
A majority of camper trailer manufacturers now incorporate a tent pole compartment in the front storage locker.
I had always placed the tent poles in a bag on top of the soft floor camper under the travel cover. When I added the skids for the draws I took the opportunity to utilised the unused space the wood on the sides of the box trailer gave that kept the draws out far enough to miss the chains on the drop down tailgate as pole storage http://www.campertrailers.org/group/vie ... ?f=8&t=330

Re: where to put the poles
well today I spent the arvo in the shed putting together a large tray to go under the camp trailer for the poles ....I got this idea from a book at the local library......the tray is made from galvanized sheeting bent into shape by a friend who has a press .......it will have marine carpet inside to stop rattles [hopefully]this weekend will see it bolted under .......cheers

Re: where to put the poles
Our trailer has a full length pole box on one side, with a little locked door at each end so you can easily push-out or pack the poles. We keep "inside" poles under the mattress for easy set-up!
Rick & Cherrie & Zoe Dog! Anywhere the trailer is set-up is our Happy Place!
