WHERE. Heifer Creek Campground is approximately 30
kilometres south of Gatton in SE Qld on the Gatton-Clifton Road. Google
Earth co-ordinates - 152°5'26"E 27°44'56"S
WHEN. On the weekend of
Friday 19th, Saturday 20th & Sunday
21st of September 2104.
GETTING THERE. Head southwest out of Gatton town
centre on Railway Street, Western Drive, Gatton-Helidon Road for approx 5
kilometres before turning left into the Gatton-Clifton Road & following it for
approx 26 kilometres to the Heifer Creek Campground on your left.
CAMPING. We will be camping on a grassed shady area
beside the creek. Please feel free to arrive & leave as you wish.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. Please add your name to the
form provided. The address of the form can be found in message
81179 within the
CamperTrailers
Yahoo Group or in the
CamperTrailers forum under the Upcoming Events heading.
NAME TAGS.
If you have a name tag please bring it along.
CAMPING FEES.
There are no camping fees.
POWER.
There are no powered sites.
WATER. Please bring your own drinking water.
CAMPFIRES. Campfires are allowed in the fire
places provided.
FIREWOOD. Please bring some firewood along as it
will be cold.
TOILETS. There are longdrop toilets.
SHOWERS. There are no showers.
DOGS. Dogs
are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.
RUBBISH. There are rubbish bins provided.
ACTIVITIES.
The creek is shallow & not suitable for fishing, canoeing or kayaking.
HAPPY HOUR.
Please bring a plate & a drink along for happy hour at 3pm
Saturday afternoon.
Come sit &
relax with a bunch of like minded people. Check the modifications others have done to
their camper trailers to make camping life all that more enjoyable. You might
meet as complete strangers on the Friday evening, but will part old friends such
is the camaraderie.
You do not need a camper trailer to attend. Members without a camper are more
than welcome to come along & get a first hand unbiased opinion of a particular
camper trailer from their owners. Come along & meet the faces behind the typing.
You are also very welcome to drop in for the day.
Please keep in mind that the group owners will not accept any responsibility
for members & non-members actions during the weekend get together. If you decide to attend, it is solely at your own responsibility, including any
side trips or outings during the weekend meet.
