Our CUB Supamatic camper
trailer has adjustable toggle latches to secure the upturned
floor. As most CUB owners will know, the latches closest to the
hinge point are the first latches to be pulled down in the
closing sequence. These two latch handles require a considerable
amount of force to close and as such can bruise the heel of
one's hand.
I have modified an aluminium tube which slips over the handle to
make closing the latch a breeze. All I had to do was slightly
flatten one end of the tube with a hammer.
Note. Excessive
force can rip the screws out of the campers body. It is better
to identify & remove the problem, which is usually too much
extra stuff on the bed.

Thanks to Kevin Davis for this tip.
