WHEN.
During the week from
Monday 1st to Friday 5th of October 2012.
WHERE. At Wellington Showground in Wellington NSW,
Mitchell Highway on New South Wales Central West Slopes & Plains.
DISTANCE.
Wellington is
360km from Sydney, 890km from
Brisbane, 820km from Melbourne.
GETTING
THERE. At the large roundabout in Wellington follow the
Renshaw-McGirr Way west off the Mitchell Highway. After approx 300
metres
the Renshaw-McGirr Way makes a sharp left hand turn. Proceed
straight ahead on Bushranger Creek Road & where the
gates to the showground are on the left.
CAMPING.
We will be camping on the grassy sites adjacent to the racecourse.
Campsites are on a first in basis only.
TIMES.
Gates to the Wellington Showground will be open from 10 am
on Friday 28th September.
ARRIVING EARLY.
If you arrive early accommodation can be found
in town at the Wellington Riverside Caravan Park or the Wellington
Valley Caravan Park. Further out of town camping is at the
Wellington Caves or Burrendong Dam.
MAKING ARRANGEMENTS. Please
fill in the online attendance sheet & hit send towards the bottom. You will
receive an e-mail letting you know your name & details has been placed on the
spreadsheet.
COST.
The cost is per camper trailer regardless of the number of
people.
Powered Sites. $20 per
night
Unpowered Sites. $15 per night
POWERED
SITES.
There are around fifty plus 15amp powered sites available. Although there
are a large number of outlets per box, there is only room for four
camper trailers around each box. Power for medical reasons will be first taken
into account, then if needed down to if any is available. Please tick the
appropriate box in the online attendance form.
POWER LEADS.
15amp leads with 15amp plug and socket are only to be used from the
power point to the camper trailer. Please make sure your 15amp power
lead has a current test and tagged for legal and safety reasons.
GENERATORS.
The use of generators will only be
permitted if the demand for genuine requirements of power exceeds
the number of outlets. We will be in touch with those who have
ticked the power box on the attendance form before the meet to
ensure everyone gets an outlet they require.
PAYMENT.
Camping fees are payable to Rob & Carol on arrival at camp. The correct money would be
helpful.
CONTACT ON ARRIVAL.
On arrival into the showground please give Rob, Kevin or
Jason
a call (calling campertrailers) on the groups official UHF channel 18 so they can welcome you
& direct you to a suitable
campsite.
ADMIN FEE.
There will be an admin fee of
$7 to cover the cost of the 'showbag' which contains a
commemorative national meet sticker & the printing of name tags, name tag holders,
laminated camper ID sheets, itinerary & attendance sheets etc.
FIREWOOD
will be supplied by the Wellington Lions Club. Please bring your block splitter.
FIRES only in
the bins provided.
WATER. Town
drinking water is available from taps on site.
SHOWER. Hot showers are available from two
amenities blocks.
TOILETS.
Flushing toilets are available from three amenities blocks.
WHEELCHAIR
AMENITIES ACCESS.
The are toilets & showers available for wheelchair access.
DUMP POINT.
There is a portable toilet dump point just outside the fence on
Bushranger Creek Road.
LAUNDRY. Possible free use in nearby caravan park???
DOGS must be kept on a leash at all times & droppings collected.
RUBBISH
Bins are provided.
PHONES. There
is Telstra NextG & Optus mobile phone coverage however Vodaphone
access is very limited.
