SA
princess royal station
Friday 18th to Sunday 20th, May 2012
Once the word was out that Rob and Carol were
visiting South Australia during May 2012 the planning for a suitable “meet”
commenced! It was then with very great pleasure that our few South
Australian members were able to meet both of them and the other inter-state
members.
I am pleased to report that the camper trailer “meet” at Princess Royal
Station via Burra, South Australia was a great success.
Rob and Carol from Newcastle, NSW
Mike and Leonie from Burra, SA
Paul and Leanne from Warnambool, Vic
Joan and Paul from Adelaide, SA
Carl and Barb from Frankston South, Vic
Dave and Rosie from Old Noarlunga, SA
Burnie and Shirley from Murray Bridge, SA
Michelle and Vicki from Adelaide, SA
Kevin and Carolyn from Sydney, NSW
David and Joy from Sydney, NSW
Andrew and Rosemary from Adelaide, SA
Jilli and Russel from Sydney, NSW
activities
Twenty-four people from as far away
as Sydney and the Mornington Peninsula and with a variety of “camper rigs”,
attended over the full four days of an extended weekend.
Highlights of the weekend for the group included exploring the heritage
sites around Burra with the aid of the Burra Passport and a walk through the
Red Banks Conservation Park, well known for the recent mega fauna
discoveries.
Back at camp, happy hour as the sun set, the camp fire with camp ovens
cooking were the order of the day.
