Which camper trailer to buy in WA?

Post by JC1864 » Sat Jun 25, 2016 6:06 am

I am looking for advice in what is a good hard floor camper trailer to buy in WA for a trip to the Kimberley and across to Birdsville for the Big Red Bash next year.
We are going to replace our soft floor Cavalier which has been great for our family. But now it is just my wife and I and we are looking at a hard floor which is easier to manage but we want a good level of confidence that once we get to the Kimberley, we aren't going to start experiencing problems on those tough roads up there.
Not looking for all the frills, bells and whistles but a good compact basic camper.
Appreciate any advice. :?:

Hi JC1864,

WA camper trailer manufacturers that would most likely fall in your criteria depending on your budget....
Pioneer have the rear fold hard floor camper trailer models http://www.pioneercampers.com/
Follow Me Campers have a side fold hard floor http://www.followmecampers.com.au/
Camprite have a walk up hard floor http://www.campritecampers.com.au

If you are not looking at buy new try websites with preloved camper trailers for sale

Thanks Rob and Carol,

Welcome to the forum, John.

In that price range, you may be restricted to one of the many companies selling imported campers.

As suggested by Rob, you may find a good second hand model in that range...

Thanks Jim,

Have you heard much about PMX campers. I believe the camper body is imported from Chine but a fair bit of construction happens in Australia?

RE; "I believe the camper body is imported from Chine but a fair bit of construction happens in Australia?" They all say that...LOL...

PMX Campers sell very similar line to Ezytrail campers. I believe they are associated in some way...

They seem to get good reports...

They would be on my short list if I was looking at a hard floor camper...

Dont rule out something like a TVAN for a couple. You can get them around that price range occasionally and they are really tough and flexible campers.

Thanks Phil

Yes I have noticed the TVAN but don't get many for sale in WA.
