Hi All,
I'm after a spreader bar of some kind to hang my 12v LED strip
from, so that it's above our cooking area just outside our CUB camper.
I can just hang it with a light rope of some kind, but that looks unsightly.
I was thinking of getting a 2.44m (length)x 2.5m (wide) aluminium spreader
bar off eBay to hang it from.
(Here's the link : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261537861801 ... EBIDX%3AIT)
My Question Is This:
Is an aluminium bar of this length going to sag under the wight of a 12v LED
strip attached along it's length ? I'm thinking there's going to be some sag
regardless and I don't want it to look rubbish, I want it nice and straight. Only
alternative is galv steel but they are way too heavy, wouldnt want it to come
crashing down on our heads.
Any thoughts anybody ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Murray,
What about these tube clamps connected to the back of the LED striplight & then just clip them on the spreader bar https://www.ovesco.com.au/products/more ... be-clamps/ I have seen similar at Bunnings & camping shops.
Some CUB's have flexible lights

while other camper kitchens have a fold down arm built on the kitchen which lays flat on the kitchen for travelling. I just cannot put my finger on a photo.
Some camper trailer kitchens have removable lighting over the kitchen

Another alternative is lightstorm LED powerpole with an inbuilt LED striplight http://www.campertrailers.org/lightstor ... erpole.htm
Our Korr LED strip lights have magnets on the back & we put them on the steel ridgebar under the annex which lights up the whole area. They also come with on/off dimmers so we can turn the lights down to a glow after tea.
