B.E.S.T. water filter

Post by phil_oz_au » Tue Nov 01, 2016 2:59 pm

Hi all (esp Colin)
I have a 322T B.E.S.T. water filter installed in my CT - which I'd like to backwash, after having used it for a couple of years.
Unfortunately it doesn't have the standard "click" type garden hose fitting.
Instead it has a red spacer, which is easily removed, and then the hose can be pressed in. Then .... ????

Can anyone help me from here?
Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil

If its the Guest type of connector, then having removed the spacer, push the collar toward the filter and pull the hose out in the opposite direction. This video shows it - https://youtu.be/nPfTYPdNZb0

Watched the video - that makes sense with what I tried to do this afternoon. I'll give it another go tomorrow.
Found some better videos on Youtube that demonstrated installing and removing the Guest connector better.
Thanks Ken
