Hi!
We just got our trailer registered again, but it was mentioned that our compliance plate is not there. Last year nobody noticed this; and it was the first year we had to get rego check done (trailer was built in 2013).
We could not find it anywhere on the trailer. The VIN is stamped into the draw-bar though.
I don't ever remember seeing one, and there are no holes or marks where a plate might previously have been.We bought the trailer 2nd hand about 4 years ago.
It is NSW rego.
Is this a must-have, or is VIN stamp sufficient?

Hi Rick,
If the trailer was manufactured before 1989 & has remained in registration, it only requires the chassis number to be stamped as yours does.

Update: It was there all along!
When I mentioned about the compliance plate to my brother, he took a look...
...and found it about 3 seconds later! It was concealed underneath the number plate. Simply removing one tech screw and swinging the plate down revealed all!
He is going to remove it and remount it on the draw-bar near where the VIN is stamped.
