Camper trailer struts
Hi. I need to replace the struts on my 1992 Campomatic hard floor. Can anyone help me with the pressure settings for the struts? Oldbazza
Re: Camper trailer struts
Hi Oldbazza,
There should be a Nm strength marked, sometimes it looks like small laser writting, on the tube end. If you are going to remove the strut make sure the strut is fully extended. There have been some serious accidents when people have removed the strut in the closed position.
If not take it to somewhere that sells gas struts.
One way to work out the strength of the strut is by weighing the floor at the point of lift. You may need to smuggle the bathroom scales out to the shed, but you didn't read that here
