The Australian CamperTrailers
Group's 18th national meet was held over the week from Monday 30th
September to Friday 4th October 2024 in the Mendooran Showground,
Mendooran, located on the Castlereagh River, 75km north-east of Dubbo in
the Central West Slopes & Plains region of New South Wales.
The week attracted 120 people in 71 camper
trailers, caravans, motorhomes & tents this year from Queensland & New South Wales. It was great to see such a diverse group of people attending
from all walks of life enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded people.
Half of the members arrived on Friday when gates to
the showground were
opened. The rest arrived over Saturday & Sunday in anticipation for
the week to come.
The weeks weather was cool to warm & sunny with a top of around the mid
twenties. The evenings were cool making for pleasant conditions
to gather around the campfires. A big thank you goes to the Mendooran
showground society for supplying wood & also to the volunteers who cut
the firewood into suitable lengths & filled the trailer each afternoon.
